Plank Cooking Cookbook

This book outlines how to master the art of plank cooking - from seasoning planks to detailed cooking tips in over 100 easy to follow recipes. In the oven or on a grill, plank cooking is fun and simple.

"The best grilled salmon in 20 minutes!"

Directions:

Sprinkle salmon fillet with maple syrup (or brown sugar). Season to taste with pepper and garlic. Preheat barbecue. Moisten cedar plank by soaking with water, weighted down with a plate while grill is heating.

Place salmon fillet on the Oregon Cedar Grill plank, skin down. Then place cedar plank and fillet on the preheated grill and close lid. Cook fillet 12-15 min. per pound.
The plank will smolder, creating smoke. That's what gives the salmon its wonderful taste. If flame occurs, douse with a splash of water.

When the salmon is cooked to your liking, serve it at the table on the plank. Place on a cutting board or platter and serve by sliding a spatula between fish and skin.

***Caution:The Oregon Cedar Grill will be extremely hot and charred after use. Use cooking utensils to handle the Oregon Cedar Grill. Use only once for outdoor use, five times maximum for indoor use.
