What could be more Oregon than Marionberry Jam? Developed by researchers at Oregon State University, the Marionberry is a hybrid of the Olallie and Chehalem blackberries. The name comes from Marion County, Oregon, where the blackberry hybrid underwent extensive testing. Released in 1956, the berry is often referred to as the “Cadillac” of blackberries. There is even a bill currently in the state senate to make the Marionberry the official Oregon state berry. The deliciously sweet Marionberry has the perfect balance of sweet and tart, and has been described as having the flavor of an “earthy cabernet” and “sweet ,with notes of tartness.” For your pleasure, we've hand-selected Oregon's finest Marionberry Jam, Marionberry Preserves, and Marionberry Jelly.
